Translations for CeramTec high-performance ceramics
CeramTec - The ceramic experts
Initially entering the market as a manufacturer of porcelain, the company, founded in Marktredwitz in 1903, soon moved into the field of industrial ceramics and finally modern advanced ceramics. The acquisition of Hoechst CeramTec AG by Cerasiv GmbH in 1996 led to the creation of CeramTec in its current form.
The CeramTec Group, which now operates internationally, is a supplier of technical ceramics with over 10,000 products, components and ceramic parts for a wide range of applications in the fields of medical technology, equipment and mechanical engineering, the automotive industry, electronics as well as energy and environmental technology. Faced with enormous stresses, electrical currents and extreme temperatures - where other materials reach their limits - high-performance ceramics perform an indispensable service. Whether piezoceramic sensors in cars, ceramic joint replacements in the human body or silicate ceramic elements for safety construction, technical ceramics are often invisible and yet indispensable.
CeramTec pays special attention to the cost-effective, high-quality, safe and environmentally-friendly development, production and marketing of its products. Testimony to this are its countless quality certificates, for example DIN 9001, DIN EN ISO 13485 and ISO 50001. In the materials testing laboratories at its Plochingen site, CeramTec tests its ceramic materials according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025.
Today, more than 3,500 employees work for CeramTec worldwide in production facilities and subsidiaries in Europe, America and Asia, including Suzhou in China, Sumperk in the Czech Republic, Suwon in Korea and Laurens in the United States.
